Stunning imagery from this DJI adventure with GoPro cameras over the eruption at Bardabunga Volcano in Iceland!
DJI’s first video in a series called “DJI Feats” takes you to the remote
wilderness of an erupting Icelandic volcano, where Phantom 2 quadcopters
are used to capture viewpoints of an exploding magma caldera
too dangerous to be approached by manned aircraft.
Eric Cheng, Director of Aerial Imaging at DJI, flew Phantom 2 quadcopters with GoPro cameras attached to capture the erupting Bardabunga Volcano in Iceland last month.
The below video documents the project and shows what happened when their cameras got a little too close to the hot lava to capture these stunning images.
