“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
Why this verse is important to Holly:
This verse is one of my favorites for many different reasons. It reminds me that God loves us so much that He wants me – yes me! – Holly Brooks, to have a full life. There was a point in my past when I lived a life that was full of myself, my own agenda, my own wants and desires of worldly things, and all that accomplished was to leave me empty and going in circles and never being filled-up, never satisfied. Then I reunited with my Father and my life was changed. God showed me how much he loved me and gave me a peace and a comfort that I had never known before. Within the last nine months I have deepened my relationship with God and He has shown me so many amazing things about life, about who I am, and about our relationship. He fulfills me. It’s an overwhelming feeling at times. He loves me so much!
As I look back now I see how God was preparing me to step out in faith, and do the things He created me to do. I listened to His voice calling me. In January, I took a big step of faith into a journey of being my own boss. I am doing something now that I love – training God’s people to be healthier, be stronger, and to reach their goals. During this journey I pray daily that God uses me to touch His children in ways that they don’t realize, and love them right where they are. I feel that God is using me everyday when I coach and train people in their workouts. I feel like God is giving each of them just a little of His desire for them to have life and have it to the full. One of my favorite ways God nudges me is to pray with my clients in the midst of our training sessions. It has been a blessing to be able to love on my clients with God’s guidance. I remind myself that God has given me one life to live and He wants me to have life and have it to the full! I pray each day that He gives me His eyes to see, His ears to hear, and His words to speak throughout my day.
