“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Why this verse is important:
These words keep me afloat some days. I sum this verse up with the simple phrase, “Let go and let God”. In life, we all have those days where we just don’t understand ourselves or others. We don’t always understand the choices we are called to make or the lessons He has in store for us. I learned to pray at a very early age and along with prayer I ask God to grant me will power, energy and strength as much as possible. The will power is to keep myself in check! The power to discipline myself with patience, kindness, patience, optimism, love and patience (ha, if you haven’t noticed, patience is the virtue my two small children test quite often). The energy to stay motivated, healthy, active and patient! The strength for everything leftover. Strength to pray when I need a second to myself. The strength to teach my girls how to share and how to be strong. The strength to be a good Mommy and awesome wife. For me, those three simple things I pray for help me to “mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint”.
