Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. – Psalm 100:3
Why this verse is important to Donnie:
I saw this verse on a piece of coloring paper that my daughter brought home from church. It was a plain white sheet of paper with the title, “Who made you? God made me.” at the top of the page. The paper had an outline of a little girl with butterflies all around her, as she watered a little growing plant. The Psalm was printed at the bottom. My daughter had done her best coloring the simple sheet of paper with a brown crayon – not staying within the lines. I thought she did a great job, and as a father, I loved it when she handed me the picture. I like the verse because I think understanding God is just that simple. He made me, and I am his. He loves me. He takes care of me, just like I love and care for my daughter. Simple. That brings me comfort and peace.
